GitHub FyneDesk

Support and engineering, connected

FyneDesk for GitHub

The help desk that treats GitHub as a first class engineering backend. Create an issue from a ticket, link existing issues or pull requests, and follow the fix without losing the customer story.

Live on Pro and Business. GitHub Enterprise Server support is coming soon.

What you can do

Connect only the repositories you choose

An admin installs the FyneDesk GitHub App for selected repositories. Each workspace keeps its own isolated connection, and you can disconnect at any time.

Create or link GitHub work

Turn a ticket into a GitHub issue with its context, or search for an existing issue or pull request. One ticket can follow several items, and one item can serve several tickets.

Follow the fix on the ticket

GitHub issues and pull requests stay linked to the customer report, with their current open, closed, or merged state visible in FyneDesk.

Reopen every affected ticket

When an issue closes or a pull request merges, every linked ticket can reopen automatically so support knows who needs an update.

Keep developer notes internal

GitHub comments arrive as internal notes. Agents can send a separate note back to engineering, while customer replies never post to the repository.

Know the sync is healthy

See the last processed update plus pending and failed events. Live GitHub App webhooks and regular reconciliation recover updates that might otherwise be missed.

Connect GitHub Enterprise Server

Coming soon

Self hosted GitHub support and its additional governance controls are planned, but are not part of the live GitHub App integration today.

A closed support loop

Engineering moves the work. Support keeps the customer informed.

  1. 1

    Create or link

Connect the support ticket to a new or existing GitHub issue or pull request.

  2. 2

    Engineering works in GitHub

Developers keep their normal repository workflow while support stays in FyneDesk.

  3. 3

    Updates flow back

Issue state, pull request progress, and developer comments return to every linked ticket.

  4. 4

    The ticket reopens

Closed or merged work reopens the affected tickets so support can follow up with each customer.

Full setup guide coming soon.

Who it is for

Product support teams

Turn a reproducible customer report into engineering work while keeping the original customer context attached.

Software and developer tool companies

Follow issues and pull requests from the support queue where customer communication already happens.

Teams handling repeat bug reports

Connect every affected ticket to one GitHub issue and keep the customer list ready for release day.

Privacy and trust

Your connection stays under your control.

An admin connects GitHub from inside FyneDesk. Access is encrypted, every organization is isolated to its own GitHub connection, and developer comments stay internal unless an agent chooses to share them. Disconnect anytime.

Frequently asked

What plan do I need?

The live GitHub App integration is available on Pro and included with Business. GitHub Enterprise Server support is coming soon.

Can I link pull requests as well as issues?

Yes. A ticket can follow an issue, a pull request, or several linked items so support can see where the fix stands.

Do GitHub comments become customer replies?

No. Developer comments enter FyneDesk as internal notes. Agents can reply to engineering in a separate internal thread, and customer replies never post to GitHub.

What happens if a webhook misses an update?

FyneDesk regularly reconciles linked GitHub work as a backup to live GitHub App webhooks. The connection page also shows pending events, failures, and the last processed update.
